please let us know if you have any questions, issues, stories, etc. about security
some things to keep in mind when throwing a party
- 1. As a host, you should make yourself available to security. Don’t hide in your room, take an active role. And, even if you are 21, you should remain somewhat coherent.
- 2. Keep a dry house if at all possible. If there is drinking in the house, it should be by 21 yr olds only and in a room not active in the party. But it makes things easier if all drinking happens in a different house, because drinking can't be part of the party.
- 3. If you see someone drinking/ smoking where they shouldn’t, tell them to go outside or remove the questionable substance from their person. Force is sometimes necessary.
- 4. Don’t put empties, etc. in public spaces, i.e. hallways and bathrooms.
- 5. If there is a problem, tell security. They’ll work it out and it won’t affect your party.
- And Remember… It’s easier to let a party continue all night than it is to shut it down.
