Seniors! Reviwes are this week! You should aim to have your work up by tomorrow. What's the difference between a Junior review and a Senior review? Senior's should show a more focused selection of recent work with attention towards what is intended for the Senior Show. Also, seniors MUST present an artist's statement as part of their review.
Wednesday: SEA is curating a retrospective of student work that has been made possible by SEA Grants over the years. The Show opens Wednesday night and will continue for the final week of school.
11-10
Juniors! Reviews are this week! You should have your work up by tomorrow to get the most exposure and critical feedback.
Have a review? Couple key things: Be on time or early! Have a note-taker! Be clear and concise! Come with questions! Relax! For more information, get a Review Tip Sheet at the ArtBoard.
Special edition Art Forum: "Review Opening". Open to all students! Please come - look at your fellow students' art, talk about art, eat snacks! Wednesday, 8 o clock, Galleria overlooking the Sculpture Pit.

Juniors and seniors with reviews this term: there will soon be a lovely poster on the V.A. board with some tips and hints for your review, along with a list of expectation the faculty have of students and things that students should expect of their faculty. check it out.
Additionally: Juniors who plan to submit a dvd as part of their review should submit their dvd at least 10 days before reviews. That means November 4th. Dvds may be submitted to Liz Pellerin - make sure to submit 3 copies (1 for each reviewer). It is a good idea to submit up to 15 minutes that the faculty should absolutely watch, and any additional material may be included if you wish. For your review, bring a short excerpt to show as a refresher, but you should not take up too much of your review time with watching.
Starting TONIGHT the ceramics department will be conducting a massive woodfiring project. Over the course of 3 days, a large wood kiln must be kept burning by adding wood to it every three minutes. this event only happens once every 3 or 4 years! students will be taking shifts over through tuesday night - come down to the ceramics area if you would like to help out or just keep company! all students are invited! it will be a funfun time.
10-12
