[edit] Mission Statement

Here is what we have discussed so far for our general direction:

Generalized Conceptual Common Ground: Augmenting, enhancing, and exploring the nuances of an individual’s relationship with the world in both one-on-one and group settings.

Brainstorm from 3/7/07:
WHAT DOES CLOTHING SAY ABOUT YOU:

  • Age
  • Gender
  • Socio-economic status
  • Culture
  • Interests
  • Profession
  • Personal convictions
  • Affiliations
  • Mood
  • Personality
  • Willingness to engage with others [texture, bionics]

[edit] Tech Notes

I am in talks with a guy from the ink seller @ Chromatic about pricing on the Thermochromic Textile and UV screen. The minimum order is 4lbs @ $32/lb Textile and $79/lb UV. Time to look for cheaper alternatives. - Angela

I now have a sample of Glowire and a 9 volt driver to play with along with conductive thread. - Angela

Rebecca is currently making very rough drafts of budget proposals. This is difficult as we are not yet sure of the scope or design of the show.

Hey Rebecca and Angela, this sounds cool: Conductive velcro. Joe 11:16, 5 January 2007 (EST)

Nitinol Wire Stuff:
Nitinol, also marketed as muscle or memory wire, uses electric current to heat and thus contract. When cooled, it returns to its original shape.
