[edit] About Murmur
Murmur is the sequential art magazine at Bennington College. Sequential art, as Murmur defines it, is the use of images to tell a story. It does not require the use of text in order to create a narrative. Anyone in the campus community is invited to contribute work, we currently have contributors made up of both writers and artists, often working together to create a piece for the magazine.
Launching its first issue in November 2005, Murmur is now producing two issues per term, made possible by support from Student Life and fundraising by our staff.

[edit] Submission Guidelines
The deadline for issue #4 has passed. We are currently accepting submissions for issue #5. Bring submissions to a Murmur meeting or give to Adam Freed.
- All submissions must contain images that tell a story. Text is optional.
- All submissions should be scanned/photographed, and put on CD or DVD to be turned in.
- Length of entry is not restricted.
- Please use an uncompressed .PSD as the format, 300 DPI, with all layers unmerged.
- The image should be ready to be reduced to 5” x 7.5” {Borders have been established for numerical pagination}
- At this point, all submissions should be Black and White. Greyscales are also acceptable, but will not be as clean and crisp as solid white and black.
- Any form of a serial or continuing story should be able to stand on its own. If you are interested in this, please be advised that enough content to support 2 or 3 issues before printing is highly preferred.
[edit] Meetings
- There will be a meeting in the beginning of the spring term to organize work for issue #5 as well as the printing of issue #4
