[edit] Other Research
- GPS Datalogging Shield for the Arduino.
- Guide to sensors from the SheepDog guy, who writes Arduino tutorials.
- A hopefully useful guide to getting the hardware/environment of the Arduino up and running.
- Freeduino - a compilation of projects and examples, with sections about cell phones and SD cards.
[edit] Wish List
[edit] Things to Purchase
- Barometric Pressure Sensor Board - At SparkFun for $55
- Flexiforce Pressure Sensor Resistor - At SparkFun for $17
- Humidity and Temperature Sensor - At SparkFun for $42
- Infrared Emitters/Detectors - At SparkFun for $2
- Motion Sensors (like what Joe used for Robert's project) - here ($10) at SparkFun. here at Parallax.
- Heart Rate things - here ($15) and here ($60); seems fun, not sure if it's the direction we're going in.
- Tiny Camera - At SparkFun for $10; again, fun stuff, though probably not necessary and too overly complicated.
- Tiny Solar Panels! - here ($13) and here ($16) at SparkFun; could be a possible way to get power we need, if we're doing outdoor projects!
- Serial Wireless Interfaces - At SparkFun for $22
- Wireless Recievers ($6) and Transmitters ($4); these appear to be very simple but also very short range.
