[edit] Questions from Tech. Team
- Does there need to be RGB patterns in the bookmark?
- Do we want the light patterns to change?
- Do we want to be able to control the patterns to express ourselves in the interface?
- Do we need anything in the interface to be "draggable"?
- What types on animation do we need? (If you could give us a list of primitives and actions by the 11th that would be great)

[edit] Websites To Consider
Here is a list of Websites I have sorted out as having features that we could use as models in building our own User Interface, please have a look at them and comment on them, specifically about what you like and do not like, how user friendly do they feel, what would you take from it and what would you leave behind, anything else you can think of. The more input the better. Thanks.
Oh and Thanks Rebecca for putting together that list of links, it was super helpful!
And please disregard all the circle graphics you may see on these sites, I am not fixated on using circles as a way of displaying info. I am mostly looking at how the info is displayed, potential for a dynamic user experience, how info is organized, etc.Jirla 12:30, 2 March 2008 (EST)
- [1] Similar Diversity
I like this design and think it could be tweaked to be animated and very dynamic/user friendly, needs a lot of streamlining.I like the simplified feeling of implied depth.Jirla
- [2] WeFeelFine
Colors are bad, it moves to fast to be friendly, but it does have a great way of displaying information, once you grap onto one of those crazy dots.Jirla
- [3] Presidential watch 08
I really like the fish eye view in this. I think that the color and actual design are a bit off, the usability of it is fairly nice. I think its pretty organized navigationally, I like that.Jirla
- [4] What Does Your Website Look Like?
Imagine the tags represented here as our info (see the map key on the near the top of the blog), books/authors/comments etc. spiced up... Take this design and add dimension/depth to it and it could be really cool. Launch the applet and type in a website url. This site and way of displaying info is growing on me the more and more I look at/use it. Animated with layers of depth or dimensionality I think this could be very nice as a starting point.Jirla
- [5] Our Graphic Universe
The architecture of this site is nice, fairly easy to navigate and filter through but difficult to understand the results,. Could be simplified to make it even more user friendly.Jirla
- [6] FLog
This is also nice, I like how the info is displayed but get really irritated when I can't figure out how to make it disappear when I want it too. Needs some clarity. Reminds me of wefeelfine and suffers from many of the same problems, but we could take parts of it and improve upon them.Jirla
[edit] Mapping Links for Color
Please have a look at this lil' diagram I have begun making to help me sort how many color palettes and color we will need. If you can think of anything I'm missing please let me know, you see I have left spaces open for additions. These are not the colors, just a list to organize the colors we may need. Thanks.Jirla 12:54, 2 March 2008 (EST)
[edit] Colors!
Please go to Kuler [7]and have a look through the swatches/themes (search for everybodiesacritic to view our colors) I have begun to create. Feedback would be lovely. Thanks.Jirla 18:19, 2 March 2008 (EST)
Colors have been tweaked further, also some new themes added. Rebecca thank you for having a look.Jirla 01:01, 3 March 2008 (EST)
My first reactions are that I like 10, 11, and 4. In that order, I think. Rgrabman 21:28, 2 March 2008 (EST)
