The Logic Machine 3000
Here's
the first program that we're trying to run.
At the last few meetings we sort of divided the work up. It's not fixed in stone, and if you want to work on something (else) speak up. We should all be busy.
(I have an affinity for calling these parts after who's working on them: the "Eben Unit," "Ben Memory," etc. Oh — you know how von Neumann called these parts "Organs"? Creepy, huh? The "Eben Organ," "Reid Organ," etc. Ick.)
A few drawings.
- ALU.tif: Arithmetic Logic Unit
- Processor.tif: The grand design
- De-Multiplexer.jpg: Demultiplexer (Joe's crude drawing that has nothing much to do with the microprocessor. And it [was] upside-down. And which Eben tried desperately to turn right side up, and which desperate attempts you can likely find in this sites history. To which Joe adds: so much work for such a useless drawing.)
