Species: Boletus innixus
My specimen was found on 10/03 at 12:15 PM next to the path leading to the small bridge next to the pond. I didn't see any other specimens in the general vicinity.
The apex of the stem is rooted with a diameter of 1.5". The cinnamon/muted reddish brown convex cap is 6.5" in diameter. The spore surface is electric yellow. The cross section of the stem has an very brown outer ring, a 1 mm light pink ring, a 1 cm yellow ring ( a slightly lesser intensity of yellow compared to the spore surface), and a creamy white center. Spore print is olive green/brown.
