Descriptive notes

Atrichum angustatum is upright, with no branches. Leaves were branched along stem, and the leaves on wet plants formed a Starburst shape, plants can be dull or whitish green. Leaves are dagger shaped and 3-7 mm. Capsules have a long lid with a beak, and their stalks range from 1-3 cm.


General distribution and habitat

A. angustatum are most commonly found on the disturbed soil over rocks, at the base of trees, or along trails.

Campus distribution

I found my specimen of A. angustatum on damp soil next to grasses approx 15m from Dickinson pond.
