a.) List and evaluate the most important reasons given by Socrates in support of his contention that philosophers should be kings.
b.) In Socrates' account of the divided line (507b-511e), what is the function of mathematical knowledge? How does it differ from the two lower kinds of intellectual engagement, on the one hand, and from the highest kind, on the other?
