Choosing Objects

for imagery representative of each. From this list we then picked the final nine based on their importance within disciplines, applicability across disciplines, importance specifically to Bennington as well as their feasibility, and durability when made with rapid prototyping.

Rapid Prototyping

Rapid prototyping is a method of producing three dimensional objects from designs produced in a computer aided design (CAD) program. It uses solid freeform fabrication to make its forms. We used SOFTWARESOFTWARE to design the bookmark forms, and COMPANYCOMPANY to print the objects.

Stations

Locations

When choosing locations for the Bookmark stations on each floor, we wanted a place that was easily visible, and would have a large amount of foot traffic, but not be too obtrusive. We found that a space like that existed in the same location on each floor. This was an added benefit, as it allows the Bookmark stations to be easier to find.
