Idle

This is the screen that is shown whenever there is nobody currently interacting with the system. The system should go to this after nobody has interacted with it for a period of time (2 minutes?) The messages are organized in three dimensional space by when they were left. There is no organization in the two dimensional plane. On this screen there are images for Books, DVDs, and VHS. There is also an indicator around whatever messages are currently on bookmarks. The indicator is only shown around Books and DVDs because bookmarks cannot be attached to VHS due to issues with the magnets in the bookmarks. Dmeresman 11:15, 2 April 2008 (EDT)

Interaction

This screen comes up if the patron touches a spot on the screen other than one of the messages when the system is idle. It has the log in status in the upper left with a link to log in, and a menu on the upper right with About, Help and Search links (sort has been removed). In the bottom left hand corner is a time slider to navigate through the history of the messages on the system. NOTE: the time slider in use is still under revision. Message View

This is the basic message view screen. The patron has selected one of the messages as shown by the green circle. That message bubble will disappear and the message contained will be shown in the message window. The history window will also now appear, with the title and the icon to represent that book/vhs/dvd color being based on media. The idea of previewing has been removed. Each element in red on the message window is something that can be used to sort. NOTE: The History and Time Slider are still under revisionDmeresman 21:30, 2 April 2008 (EDT)

Message Left on Bookmark Not Currently Docked

This is the screen for viewing a message that has been left on a bookmark that is not currently docked. The only differences between this message box and the normal message view box is that at the bottom it says what bookmark it was left on and shows an image of the bookmark. Because the bookmark itself is not docked, it does not have the option listed to assign the bookmark to a new book/dvd. In this example I have made the message and tag list longer than the available space to show the active scroll bars. NOTE: the History and Time Slider are still under revision

Dock Bookmark

This is the screen that comes up when a patron docks a bookmark. In the message window is the message currently on the bookmark. When they dock the bookmark, the message is added to the history. Behind the message window are all of the messages left on the bookmark previously. The only difference between this message window and ones for the normal message view is that it has an "assign to new book or dvd" button at the bottom under the bookmark name. When pressed it will let the patron reassign the bookmark. This will be shown in a later wireframe. NOTE: the History and Time Slider are still under revision. Dmeresman 13:50, 3 April 2008 (EDT)

This is the basic log in screen that will come up when the patron selects the log in button. The log in window and keyboard both come onto the screen. The patron fills in their name into the "patron name" box and then either touches the ID Number box or hits enter on the keyboard (the patron can touch the patron name box to switch to that one as well). They can then fill in their ID number and then hit "Log In" to log in. If they forget their login information they can hit "Forget Log In?" The patron can also scan their ID card to fill both fields. On this screen the save button on the keyboard is grayed out because it is not usable. Dmeresman 23:05, 2 April 2008 (EDT)

Sort By Book

In this screen the patron has touched the title of the book to sort by that book. When they touch the title of the book, all of the floating messages in the background go away and are replaced by the messages that have been left on that book. The color of the text of what the messages are being sorted by (in this case the title of the book) is changed to denote that it is the sort method. NOTE: The History and Time Slider are still under revision Dmeresman 19:06, 3 April 2008 (EDT)

When this kind of sort happens, the text color shifts to white.Robert_Ransick 13:52, 4 April 2008 (EDT) WIREFRAME Sort Book Final.jpg

Sort By Tag

In this screen the patron has touched a tag to sort by that tag. When they touch the tag, all of the floating messages in the background go away and are replaced by the messages that have been left while leaving that tag at the same time. If no message was left at the time of tagging there should instead be the most recent message from that book. The date organization of the messages should be based not on the date that the message was left but based on the date that the tag was left. The color of the text of what the messages are being sorted by (in this case a tag) is changed to denote that it is the sort method. NOTE: The History and Time Slider are still under revision Dmeresman 20:33, 3 April 2008 (EDT)

About

In this screen the patron has touched the about menu item. This makes has made an about window appear on the screen above everything else. It has also caused an indicator to appear next to "About" in the menu to show that it is currently open. The patron can have multiple menu items open at the same time, as well as have menu items open at the same time as message leaving/viewing windows. This is to enable the patron to be able to search or leave a message while looking at the help menu. The text is just filler for now. NOTE: The time slider in the bottom left is currently under revision. Dmeresman 21:10, 3 April 2008 (EDT)

It has also caused an indicator to appear next to "Help" in the menu to show that it is currently open. Leave a New Message

When a patron selects "Leave a New Message" in the message window, the text fields clear and become text entry boxes. The message entry box is selected automatically because the patron selected "Leave a New Message". The text that says "Leave a New Message" changes color to indicate that it is selected. The patron can switch between the message leaving and tag adding boxes by touching them. The patron fills out the message and/or tag box and then selects save on the keyboard to save the message and/or tag. If they save the message it will join the other floating message hexagons on the screen. NOTE: the history and the time slider are under revision Dmeresman 11:30, 4 April 2008 (EDT)

Add a New Tag

When a patron selects "Add a New Tag" in the message window, the text fields clear and become text entry boxes. The tag entry box is selected automatically because the patron selected "Add a New Tag". The text that says "Add a New Tag" changes color to indicate that it is selected. The patron can switch between the message leaving and tag adding boxes by touching them. To input multiple tags, the patron can place commas between them. The patron fills out the message and/or tag box and then selects save on the keyboard to save the message and/or tag. If they save the message it will join the other floating message hexagons on the screen. NOTE: the history and the time slider are under revision Dmeresman 11:30, 4 April 2008 (EDT)
