Descriptive Notes

Individual is black with a reddish section across the dorsal side of the abdomen. Wings are thicker and uniform at the base, thinner and more membranous at the edge. Front wings intersect to cover hind, membranous legs. Tube feeder tucks under to the ventral side of the head.

Collection Notes

Individual was collected from a goldenrod field on the west side of campus on September 6th, 2016.
