Descriptive Notes

Individual was black with a reddish area across the dorsal side of the abdomen. Front wings thicker at base and thinner and more membranous at the ends. Front wings overlap to cover smaller, membranous hind wings.

Distribution

Individual was collected from a goldenrod field on the west side of the Bennington College campus on September 6, 2016.
